Mischievious Luke

Here are pics of Luke taunting Indie and Lennox. He would stick his foot in front of them to elicit a reaction. Poor Indie was terrorized by his playful brother while it only gave Lennox more of a reason to lick Luke silly. Very cute.

Spooky spiders

While trying to scare Hayden with these spiders he found them to be quite funny. Gotta love him!

Luke!!!!

What a wonderful weekend! While Lisa and Mike attended Donna & Stan's Wedding... we were so lucky for get Luke for the evening. He was such a good and sweet little boy. So easy, playful, and loving.... what a nice reminder why we want more children. Hayden really enjoyed having him around and didn't feel jealousy.... even more Lennox LOVED Lukie!

Going to the mall, we had to make a decision on who got the stroller.... Hayden or Luke. Luke may weigh the same as Hayden, but it sure doesn't feel like it! Luke won the stroller (hee hee) and Hayden got to ride on daddy's shoulders.

Hayden loving himself

Luke making funny faces.

Hayden's infamous 'I'll lay down anywhere' pose

The boys playing at the indoor playground at the Galleria.

Awe... my boys....

We let the boys loose at the mall to explore...they were sooo good and stayed close.

Our ride home.... you can't even tell that Hayden is one and half years older than Luke...especially with that pacifier (hmmmm...)

Luke learning to turn his face away the Licking Machine Lennox.

Luke enjoyed playing outside in the water fountains while Hayden napped.

Luke we love you!!!!

Senseless killing....

About 3 months ago, my parents finally sold our family business of 25 years. We were all happy to be out of there and even more happy that my parents could put this line of work behind them. The long hours and unpredictable danger just didn't seem worth it anymore.

Tragedy struck the new owners yesterday....

A patient of mine who lived near the store told me that the owner' throat was cut and he was stabbed several times. I was shocked and in disbelief. As I kept watching on the internet for information I called my family who heard nothing about it.

This was released on the Houston Chronicle.

A store owner was stabbed to death during a robbery at his business in north Houston Wednesday afternoon.

Sahib Ali Khan, 58, of Cypress, was killed in the stabbing, which occurred in the 3500 block of Elysian about 3:15 p.m., police said.

Khan was stabbed more than once and died at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.

Police said Khan was at the store, which was closed for remodeling, when someone walked inside. At some point Khan was stabbed. Then the intruder stole some items and left.

Police have no suspects in the case.

Anyone with information in the case is urged to contact the Houston Police Department Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

I don't know exactly where this will put my parents since they are still lien-holders to the business.... but we will see. Its scary to think that this could have been one of them. We had been there for soooo long that it really jaded us. But the reality of it was.... it was one of the worst neighborhoods in Houston. We had essentially grown up there as kids working at the store and my parents were 'Mom & Pops' to the patrons. But it only takes one slip up and another desperate individual for this to happen.

Our condolences to their family...

DEWBERRY FARM

What a great place for some family fun. There are so many fun activities... we will sure be back.

Hayden loved this bus because of the song... "people in the bus go honk, honk, honk. All through the town..."

We couldn't resist putting Hayden in the cart for a short ride

Pumpkins!

Hayden and his love of letters.

Thank you kisses from Hayden for a lovely day.

Damn red light cameras

Got a ticket here for turning on the outside lane on a red light.

Shucks...

Looking back on the time and place of incident... It was Steve. I was no where in that area at that time. Really doesn't matter Bc what's his is mine.

Steve: 3

Me: 0

(although Steve thinks one of them is mine... I'm denying that one though) Hee hee.
